Consultation and Patch Test
Why is it Important?
Before starting any treatment, a consultation and patch test appointment is required to ensure the treatment is suitable for you.

This appointment allows Bedford Laser Clinic to
-
Assess your skin type, hair type and treatment goals.
-
Explain the treatment in full.
-
Answer any questions or concerns you may have.
-
Perform a patch test to check your skin’s reaction to the laser and ensure the treatment is suitable for you.
What to Expect
-
Discussion
We’ll discuss your treatment goals, medical history and any factors that might affect the procedure. This is your chance to ask questions and learn about the process.
-
Patch Test
A small area of your skin will be tested with the laser to ensure there are no adverse reactions. This only takes a few minutes.
-
Personalised Plan
Based on the consultation and patch test results, we’ll create a tailored treatment plan, including pricing and session intervals.
How to Prepare
-
Avoid sun exposure and tanning products on the area being tested for at least two weeks before your appointment.
-
Do not use hair removal methods like waxing or plucking in the area; shaving is fine.
-
Let us know about any medications or skin conditions in advance.
Duration & Cost
-
The appointment typically lasts 15–30 minutes.
-
A consultation and patch test appointment is complimentary. However, a £10 booking fee is required, which will be redeemable off your first session. Should you fail to turn up or cancel within 48 hours, the charge will not be redeemable.
